new look

Obviously I'm changing the look of HayleeBean. Photography.  I feel that my style of editing and shooting has changed slightly and I want everything to match.  Also, I felt the blue was feeling a little drab.  Now I just need to design a new logo, not sure how long that will take me but be patient as I make adjustments to my blog and my website.

I'm also adding something fun to my blog. my Q&A forum(link located in the menu bar)

I've been feeling lately that I need a little more reader interaction so to have a little fun I'll be featuring one of your questions every Friday, starting tomorrow.  From now through the month of September, if I feature your question or thread the person who started it will be given a $25 credit towards a session or print purchases.  I don't care what it is so be creative.  It can be from anything photography related to my personal life.  So start your own threads and begin asking away with questions......I'm an open book.

These boys are some of my favorite clients!  I've been lucky to photograph them now 3 times.  They are so natural in front of the camera, and super handsome!  (I know Amber, I'm not helping with their ego's, I can't help it).  Neal, you're a stud.... sorry for leaving you in suspense for so long!  I know you've been dying to see some of you.  Hope it was worth the wait!

And this little guy is an old fave client too... last time I shot him, he wasn't even sitting... this time, he ran!!!! Check out this cutie.

keeping it family

So my sister Mindi has been waiting patiently for me to post some pics of her cute kiddos.  It was awesome to have her be able to visit for an entire MONTH from Chicago!  My kids love their cousins so much and kind of got used to them being around.  Now when I mention we're going to Grammies house they ask if Porter & Ellery, and their aunt "Wendy" are going to be there.  We miss you all ready.

the little things

This summer has been challeging but a blessing all in one.  Jon (my husband) has had to work a lot and has been gone leaving me alone with the kids A LOT!  A whole day of them without relief as any mother can agree, can be tiresome.  That's the challenge.... the blessing, is that I've been able to spend so much time with them.  We've relied on each other, me more so than you would ever guess.  I count on the good times with them to help me through the not so great times.... just looking at these pictures of Easton brings tears to my eyes.  You all know that he wont let me take pictures of him and of course he had to be so stinking cute in all places but the stinky, dirty garage.  But these remind me of this summer and laughing with my kids, and doing what we loved to do most.... staying at home in our jammies until noon, riding bikes, jumping on the trampoline, catching grasshoppers and rolly-pollies, and running through sprinklers.  All though we missed dad this summer and mom had an occasional meltdown, this is what I will take with me from this summer.  The smiles, laughs and joy that we found in the little things.  And the happiness that these spunky kids bring to my life.  Love you so much!  Muahhh!

at least these guys are.  I get to be related to these cool people and adorable children forever!  It's my husband's brother and his family.  Our kids are pretty close in age and they just love each other.  I'm so blessed to have them in my life.  Here's a little sneak peak for you guys.  The fam pics in the little grove of grass are my faves!  I just love them.

It was such and honor and a blessing to be a part of this family's special day.  This is something that I don't shoot everyday and it was such a fun change and challenge to have.  Becca, you were incredibly easy and so nice to work with.  You made my job so much easier with your easy going attitude and by putting all of your faith and trust in me & by letting me do my thing.  Thank you so much for letting me document this wonderful and special day.  Aside from the 100 degree heat and afternoon sun the day was perfect and we were able to capture some wonderful moments.  Miss A is a doll and so darling.  I'm so happy for your family.  Your boys were a hoot and complete hams in from on my camera, they were too much fun to photograph.  Thanks again and I hope you enjoy this rather big sneak peak for you until I can get your gallery up.

christmas.... what?

yep.... that's right folks.  It's all ready time to start thinking about family pictures for Christmas Cards.  I have some really fun cards that I've just completed, you can see them HERE!  I'm currently working on designing more traditional cards as well so keep your eye out for those.
