HELLO!  Welcome.  I want all my blog readers and clients to know how special photography is to me.  It freezes time and allows memories to flood into our lives at a glance.  I love photographing children.  There is nothing better than capturing who that little person is, and to be able to return to that time and place over and over again.  I love it when I look at an image of a child and I can tell who that child is just by an expression.  My style is unique and fresh, I'm silly and goofy and will do almost anything it takes to capture the natural expressions of a child.

To me it's all about creating memories, mine and yours.  On this blog you'll get to see some of the daily happenings of my children's lives as well as view sneak peeks from the fun families I get to hang out with.  We get to experience it all together!

for your sneak-peaking pleasure

I had so much fun with this young family the past weekend.  They were so cool and laid back.  Mom just let me do my thing & put total trust in me which was AWESOME!  Plus, look at how cute these girls are dressed.  Mom bought them from a local Utah girl that makes them!  This type of whimsical outfit photographs so well and can really add to the feel of an image.  Doesn't hurt to have cute girls like these little ones to wear them too :D  I've just started editing them but all ready there are so many that I love.  Sorry L that I don't have any family pics done to show you yet..... we'll let those be a surprise for you in your gallery ;)  Oh, and if you'll email me the link to where you bought these cute outfits I'll post a link for all of my readers......THANKS A BUNCH!

Here is the link for all of you who are interested in the clothing!!!  Such cute stuff.  Thanks for sending it Lindsi!

cousins

I haven't taken many pictures lately so I don't have much to post.  My sister Mindi is here from Chicago and we went to lunch and I snapped this.  We are only missing one cousin in this ((sad)).  You are see a little bit of each of their personalities in this shot.

photo booth rockz

these were actually taken about a month or two ago but I've been cleaning up my files and came across them again and thought they were too much fun not to do a post.  If you don't know what photo booth is, it is an application on Mac computers that you basically just take pictures on........my kids LOVE it!  I was on the computer while the kids and their friends were playing and somehow it turned into a photo-booth-phrenzy!  These all crack me up for some reason or another.  I just named off a direction and this is what we came up with.... have fun looking at these.

luvs

a new fave of mine of my 2 wild things.

This location is fun for me too because the mountain that is in the background is a family favorite.  When we were little my sister Mindi would always talk about the lion on the mountain and we never knew what she was talking about.  One day we figured out that she meant that the big mark on the mountain....if you use a little imagination you can totally see that it does look like a lion laying on it's side with it's big bushy face looking at us.  Ever since then we started calling it the Lion on the Mountain and kept our eyes peeled so we wouldn't miss it.  I still find myself checking out the lion every time I pass by.  I'm so glad that I have a fab picture of it too!  silly memories.

the road

I got home and immediately came to this picture first after I uploaded the pictures from your session tonight.  I'm in love with it and the feeling I get when I look at it.  I love how she is reaching for her dad and that he is reaching back.  I love that mom is right there guiding her baby.  I love that nothing has to be in focus for it to tell a story.  I love the little details that stand out to me.....her little dot of a bow.....moms cute pink flats.  I love that even though these aren't her first steps it still feels like they are.

I loved the story about this road.  Dad is from this little city that we shot at tonight and he had told Sarah how he loved driving on this one way hidden street when he was younger.  The street just happened to be across the street from our location.  I think he even had taken her on it a few times and when they told me this I was excited to shoot them here.  I'm just happy that little Miss L was happy long enough to get this.

You're shoot turned out fab and I'll get more sneak previews up for you soon.  Thanks for a great night & I'm so happy the weather held out for us!

six

It was a hoot hanging out with this family the other week.  Each one of these kids were totally different and had just distinct personalities, it was fun to get to know each one of them.  Plus...... I LOVE redheads!  Check out this little guy.... he was definitely the easiest to photograph out of the bunch, such a natural little model.  I could have shot him all night.  Oh and I LOOOOVE his name! (wish I could tell you what it is but for privacy reasons I won't....such a tease, I know).

I love the range of ages too.....here are the oldest and youngest of the bunch.  Miss J gets to go oversea's this summer for a study abroad program (I'm totally jealous).

and finally the  older boys.... such handsome guys, all of them!  Once they stopped being warmed up to the camera a little we got some great shots!  Good luck on the Mish elder!

Thanks again W. family for the great night.

who let these monkeys jump on the bed?

Didn't their Dr. ever tell them not to?

Okay, so ya......I'm a dork.  But I can be a fun dork :)

Easton loves to help me get molly out of bed in the mornings and after her naps.  This is pretty routine for us and a good look into our daily lives......crazy monkeyness.

this is why I had my camera with me in the first place.  she is just so gosh darn cute after her naps that i couldn't resist.  Plus! i took some pics of her in her bed last year and put them in my year end photo collection coffee table book that my these guys just love to read - every time we look at it together molly always wants to see the ones of her in bed so I guess this has to be tradition :)
